Sudoku is a logic game with a long history. Sudoku was invented by Japanese mathematician Masatoshi Hirata in the early 19th century, and is still one of the best-known logic puzzles in the world today. The objective of Sudoku is to fill a grid with numbers 1 through 9, so that each number does not repeat in the same row, column, or block.
A Sudoku game consists of a grid that is divided into 3x3 blocks. Each block contains a number from 1 to 9, and the goal is to fill each block with a number, while keeping the sum of the numbers in each row, column, and box (or cell) equal to the number that is assigned to that cell.
The game can be played on a mobile device or on a computer. Playing on a computer is known as solving the puzzle in the pencil and paper format. On a mobile device, it is possible to play the game in both a classic and simplified version.
A Sudoku game can be created from scratch by entering the numbers 1 through 9, or it can be saved and edited later.
The Sudoku game is played by millions of people in dozens of different countries.
